What’s something most people crave?
Love?
Happiness?
Chocolate?
Well… this tasty treat solves all of these desires. This gluten-free banana bread is my husband’s favorite. The best part. It’s moist and doesn’t taste gluten-free (or vegan).
Now let’s get baking!

How to Bake the Best Gluten Free, Dairy-Free Chocolate Banana Bread
Preheat oven to 350F.
Line a 9×5 loaf pan with parchment paper or use a nonstick loaf pan. I like to add a little coconut oil to the nonstick loaf pan to ensure it comes out perfectly if I don’t have parchment paper.
Peel bananas and mash with a fork, then add the maple syrup and coconut milk. Mix all together then add in the coconut sugar.
In a separate bowl, mix the oat flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
Next, combine the wet and dry ingredients and mix until smooth, finishing with the tastiest part, the chocolate chips.
Last step, add the batter to your loaf pan, and away you go. Cook for 25 mins and ensure banana bread is completely cooled down before slicing.

Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ¼ cup coconut sugar
- ½ cup coconut milk (or whatever milk you have)
- 2 cups gluten-free oat flour
- ½ tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 cup vegan gf chocolate chips

FAQs
Can I Use Under Ripe Banana For Banana Bread?
Ideally, you want your bananas to be very spotty and somewhat soft. However, if I’m completely honest with you… I have made this loaf with slightly underripe bananas. It still worked, there just wasn’t as strong of a banana flavor.
Best Way to Store Banana Bread
Once banana bread is fully cooked, ensure it’s fully cooled down before cutting or storing. It stores best in a closed container or a ziplock baggy at room temperature.
How Long Can My Banana Bread Last On the Counter?
Typically 2-3 days on the counter if it’s not too hot out. I usually put ours in the fridge or freezer after 2-3 days though, that way I don’t have to worry about it.
Best Way to Freeze Banana Bread?
Some people like to cut it before freezing, others like to slice it before freezing. If you’re going to slice it, parchment paper can make it nice so they don’t stick together.
